ACC Dental School - The Nightmare
Went back to ACC dental hygienist school and met my new student. She was very personable and nice , but told me that she was not doing very well and could possibly fail at her dream of being a dental hygienist.
She started her eval and then set me for another visit.
I came back two more times , all to continue this very long eval (12 hours total) Then I get disturbing news from student that she is having problems with all my dental work. She says to me that she cant tell where the real teeth stop or start, which really kinda spooks me , thinking what have I got myself into ?
She tells me she will have to double up on the cleaning to get it done in time, I agree. She sets a time with me, and then from what I have gathered changed that time with my partner, and did not communicate or ask me anything on the change of time.
I did my best getting to every appointment early and stayed as long as they needed. The whole time the student communicated directly with me , and I with her.
One week later from last visit, I get a letter saying I am no longer in program due to missing to many appointments. I got very upset, and decided to call. What I got from the call was that the school has no customer service for patients in program, and that the school would not release to me a copy of the communications, evidence due to it would violate the student' HIPPA rights.
Here I was being pushed out after making 12 hours of investment.
The school had my number since it was able to call me back to tell me first yes , then no, on being able to get copy of communications. This would be proof of the HIPPA violation, I figured.
Since I had been here before, I new I was already supposed to have 2 quadrants cleaned by this time, and feel the school violated HIPPA in speaking to partner without communicating with me ( not a single call or text) and ACC department covered itself by terminating me from program , and not having to reject students performance or grade.
I had been very ill , and had to reset an appointment due to uncontrollable vomiting, which I am under medical treatment for. They knew I was ill when I entered the program. I still can not believe how they treated me, and then swept the students failures and bad performance under the carpet.
I have asked to meet with the dean of the school, and they tell me they have lots of deans, but no one is in charge .

ACC Dental School Nightmare - The Past
A friend of mine recommended I try a school for my deep dental cleaning and evaluation
and to my horror they gave me the down low about how bad my teeth were. I had a smart and energetic student , who took her task on without looking back ! She did a great job over the course of 2 months ( one visit every other week = four visits) and got me the answers I needed to my dental issues and clean teeth !
